Ms. DIANA ANGWECH APPOINTED- DIOCESAN CHANCELLOR

The Diocesan Council at its sitting on July 27, 2023 has appointed Counsel Diana Angwech as the new Diocese of Kampala Chancellor and to be deputized by Mrs. Kansiime Pamela.

Diana is replacing Mr. Naboth Muhairwe who was appointed the Provincial Chancellor during the 2022 Provincial Assembly.
In his communication to the Diocesan Council Members, the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda who is also the Bishop-Diocese of Kampala, the Most Rev. Dr. Samuel Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu welcomed and thanked the new Chancellor and the deputy for investing their time into building God’s church. In addition, His Grace appreciated Naboth for his commitment and good services he rendered to the Diocese over the years.

“I sincerely appreciate Mr. Naboth Muhairwe who has been our diocesan Chancellor, for his commitment and good services rendered to our diocese over the years. Now that he was called to be the Provincial Chancellor, pray for him. We also welcome our sisters; Diana and Pamela as the new Chancellor and deputy respectively”.

The Diocesan Chancellor is a honorary position in the diocese and is the Chief Legal Advisor of the Diocese. Diana is a Christian lawyer who has served in different roles in church as the Youth Chairperson, Committee Member Leadership Committee, member committee- ACP and Chairperson Alabaster Ladies Ministries all at All Saints’ Cathedral, Kampala.

Diana is an advocate of the courts of Judicature (Uganda), she obtained a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University, and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Uganda. She is a member of the East Africa Law Society, the Uganda Law Society and the Uganda Christian Lawyers Fraternity.

She has had the honor to lead in various spheres; the market place and the religious space. She previously served as the Vice President Uganda Law Society. She is the Founder and Chairperson Alabaster Mentor-ship Program at All Saints’ Cathedral, Kampala and she is the Board Chairperson Abide Family Centre among others. Her passion is to create platforms for others to succeed through; mentoring, coaching, business development and inspiration. In her legal practice, she has a wealth of experience in commercial law, human rights and transactional work. Diana is a Commissioner for Oaths.
