Additionally, the Archbishop congratulated the Diocese of Kampala for making a big stride in making sure that the Church House loan was paid.
“Brothers and sisters, the 16-storied building on Plot 34, Kampala Road, fully belongs to the Church of Uganda. I heartily congratulate the Diocese of Kampala for the tremendous contribution you made towards realizing this dream. The diocese sold her prime land in Bukoto to salvage the church house and when it came to Love Gift, you contributed generously,” Kaziimba said.
The Archbishop also reminded the members about the retirement of the Assistant bishop, Rt. Rev Dr. Hannington Mutebi which is at the end of this year and requested parishes to offer him a befitting farewell but also pray for the process of choosing his replacement.
Synod is the supreme governing body of the Diocese. It is composed of representatives from the parishes who form the House of Laity and a House of Clergy.
